Managing lessons
Build lessons by combining videos, resources, and metadata.
Lessons are the building blocks of every course. Each lesson is a single video plus any resources (PDFs, slides, links) you want learners to have alongside it. Manage them from Content → Lessons in Admin.
Creating a lesson
- Click Add lesson and fill in the title, description, and instructor.
- Pick a video from Media → Videos, or upload a new one.
- Attach any resources (PDFs, slide decks) learners should have.
- Tag the lesson so it surfaces in the right places.
Lesson vs. course
A lesson can stand alone. Learners can watch a single lesson without being enrolled in a course. The same lesson can also live inside a course or a collection. Reusing lessons across courses is encouraged.
Tips
- Keep lessons under 10 minutes when you can. Short lessons get finished.
- Replace a lesson's video file in Media to update every place it's used.
- Add captions when you upload. Accessibility from day one.
